Your trucking records stay yours. Trucker Budget is designed to help you manage loads, expenses, paperwork, and performance without selling or sharing your data.
Trucker Budget ("the App") helps truck drivers track loads, income, expenses, documents, and business analytics. This policy explains what data the App handles, where it goes, and how you stay in control.
We do not operate our own backend servers and do not collect, sell, or rent your personal information. Your trucking records (loads, income, expenses, notes, categories, mileage, and documents) are stored locally on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud account.
The App stores your trucking data on your device using Apple's standard storage frameworks. In addition, a small amount of non-personal data is stored locally to support the App's free tier, including counts of how many loads, transactions, and AI analyses you have used, and a first-launch timestamp.
This data is used only to enforce free-tier limits. It contains no personal information, no documents, and no trucking records, and it is never transmitted off your device. Some of this data may persist if you reinstall the App.
The App also uses an iOS App Group container to share a small set of values (free-tier counts, premium status, and your AI consent choice) between the main App and its Share Extension. This container lives entirely on your device.
Any information you enter in the App — including loads, mileage, income, expenses, notes, and categories — is used only to provide the App's features. It is not sent to us.
The App includes two AI-powered features: Autofill, which analyzes rate confirmations to automatically populate load details, and Rate Fraud Detector, which evaluates rate confirmations for signs of tampering or fraud.
When you use either feature, the rate confirmation file you submit is sent to Google Gemini (provided by Google LLC) for processing. No other data is sent — your account information, contacts, trucking records, and load history are not included. Google processes the submitted file according to Google's privacy policy.
You will be asked for your explicit consent the first time you attempt to use either AI feature, both in the main App and in the Share Extension. You can decline and continue to use all non-AI features of the App.
The free tier allows a limited number of AI analyses per device. Your usage count is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
When the App calculates the distance between a pickup and a drop-off location — for example, after AI Autofill extracts addresses from a rate confirmation — it uses Apple's built-in CoreLocation and MapKit services. The pickup and drop-off addresses are sent to Apple to perform geocoding and route calculation. Apple processes this data according to Apple's privacy policies. We do not receive or store this information.
When you select a PDF document for AI Autofill or Rate Fraud Detector — either from inside the App or via the iOS Share Sheet — the App accesses that document only for the duration needed to read its contents and submit them for AI processing. The App does not browse, index, or retain access to other files on your device.
If you enable iCloud Sync, the App syncs your trucking data using Apple iCloud / CloudKit. Your data is stored in your own iCloud account and associated with your Apple ID. Apple processes this data according to Apple's privacy policies and your iCloud settings. We do not have access to it.
You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in the App or through your device's iCloud settings.
If you choose to upgrade to a premium subscription, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not receive your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID. The App receives only an anonymous indicator that your subscription is active. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings.
The App uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data, such as which features are used and how often. This helps us understand how the App is used and improve it over time. Firebase Analytics may collect device identifiers and general usage events. This data is processed by Google according to Google's privacy policy.
The App does not include advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites owned by third parties.
We do not share your data with third parties except in these limited cases:
Your trucking data remains on your device and/or in your iCloud account for as long as you keep it. You can delete entries directly in the App at any time.
Deleting the App removes locally stored trucking data. As noted above, a small set of free-tier counters and a first-seen timestamp persist in the device Keychain after the App is deleted; this data contains no personal information. iCloud copies remain in your iCloud account until you remove them through your iCloud settings.
Because your trucking data lives on your device and in your own iCloud account, you have direct control over it at all times. You can view, edit, and delete it from within the App. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy rights, you may also contact us with questions or requests regarding your data.
The App is not intended for children under 4, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
If our privacy practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised. Material changes will also be reflected in the App.
Questions about this policy or about your data can be sent to [email protected].
